SUNBEAM’S INITIATIVE FOR
MARGINALIZED CHILDREN
MARGINALIZED CHILDREN

Sunbeam is a Mumbai-based non-profit organization registered as a Public Charitable Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. It is dedicated to empowering children and youth from marginalised communities through education.
We provide quality education from Kindergarten till SSC. And financial support in College right up to graduation.
Our support also extends to child counselling, value education, career guidance and robust community empowerment initiatives.
Sunbeam helps children overcome life’s challenges, stay in school / colleges, build confidence and find meaningful careers.

Parents move from being by-standers to equal partners in our mission, helping shape a brighter future for their children.
Children at Sunbeam actively practice the core values taught at Sunbeam. These values guide their daily actions, decisions, and interactions with others. The emphasis is on internalising ethics so they become part of the character.
The children experience a childhood that reflects the freedom and opportunities of privileged peers. They engage in unrestricted play, learning, and dreaming, shaping a rich developmental environment. This experience empowers them to pursue aspirations without perceived limitations.
Marginalised kids from construction sites, streets, slums, and chawls now lead dignified lives because they are educated, believe in their potential, and dare to dream big.
It is a matter of pride that 98 % of our early intervention beneficiaries from the 1000+ students have completed school and college with degrees of their choice in the fields of Engineering, Accountancy, Management, Medicine, Law, and many more – breaking the cycle of poverty and inspiring the next generation. Majority of our alumni are independent, contributing members of society. However, our work with 300+ street-dwelling and construction labourers’ children has faced challenges beyond basic schooling.
